  THE FOUNDATION  
     
  Objectives & Means  
     

The Foundation aims to undertake all possible works of welfare, charity and beneficence for the general good, of every kind, both within and outside the country, and in particular the following:

  •  To participate in setting up and supporting Mosques and Islamic cultural centers, academies for Islamic research and institutions concerned with Islamic education and the correct teachings about the true faith, its legacy and civilization and the contributions of its scholars to the advancement of the civilization of mankind.

  •  To participate in setting up and supporting schools and institutes of general and higher education, centers of scientific research, public libraries and establishments for vocational training, also to offer study grants and scholarships, and to support endeavors in the fields of writing, translation and publishing.

  • To participate in setting up and supporting hospitals, clinics and rehabilitation centers, first aid organizations, orphanages and child care centers, and homes for old and disabled.

  • To participate in giving relief to areas stricken by disasters, natural and social, such as famines, earthquakes and floods, storms and drought, and in supporting studies and efforts that attempt to control the likelihood of the occurrence of such disasters and making provision for dealing with and containing them.

  • To set up local and international prizes to honor scholars, researchers and people working in the service of society and mankind for the studies, scientific discoveries or pioneering efforts they make for warding off harm and bringing about benefits, and for achieving advancement and prosperity for mankind.

The Foundation shall work to realize its aims by all such means as appear to be suitable for this purpose, and in particular the following:

  • To strive constantly to increase its financial potential so as to enable it to continue to undertake its activities and to redouble its effectiveness; this by safe investment of its capital and by encouraging its increase through the receipt of donations and gifts in accordance  with the conditions laid down by these Statutes.

  • To restrict its self exclusively to charitable and humanitarian works, and to refer charitable works which are made necessary by development and political considerations to the relevant quarters in the state  

  • To undertake executory activities of the Foundation in accordance with annual and phased plans as defined and authorised. Guidance will be sought in determining such plans, by undertaking studies and comprehensive surveys of the spheres of charitable works defined by the aims of The Foundation, and by working to bring them up-to-date continually in the light of proposals, reports and projects that reach The Foundation, also in the field visits to be organized by The Foundation itself to the sites of the proposed activities, for the purposed of determining priorities and choosing the suitable ingredients for  such works.

  • To co-operate with similar charitable organizations, on local, regional or international basis, and to co-operate with  them for the relation of the common aims, specially in circumstances where such co-operation is necessary, such as giving aid at the time of disasters, and in implementation welfare activities in areas remote from the headquarters of The Foundation.

  • Translation certain of the aims of The Foundation into permanent charitable programmes with clearly defined implementary procedures and measures, as for example: the programme for building mosques, the programme for scholarships, the programme for medical assistance, the programme for vocational training, et alia – which will assist in their being carried out and will facilitate dealing with the authorities  concerned.
